Using ICT for planning – teaching – learning – assessment - reporting

The improvements to broadband and the availability of student computers will promote a significant change in the use of ICT for planning – teaching – learning – assessment – recording – reporting.

Access to the hardware is a great start, and ERS can now provide the other key elements:
  • Dedicated software: designed for education to undertake all these process
  • Curriculum content: to bring the software to life… including the K-10 Curriculum and National Curriculum materials, as they become available
  • Teacher competencies: checklists of  teacher skills required to use these processes
  • Pedagogy: A wide range of teacher strategies on use of ICT for student centred learning
ERS Partnership

ERS is pleased to announce a partnership with two major Eastern States companies that provide dedicated software for over 1200 schools in NSW.

Integrated curriculum processes

Consequently, together we will be able to provide integrated modules that link the processes:

               Planning – teaching – learning – assessment – recording – reporting

In 2008 we will be providing web-based options for the use of Curriculum Organiser.
Existing Curriculum Organiser schools will have a huge opportunity to leap into the ‘ICT Age’ by accessing these powerful time-saving functions.  You are invited to be a ‘feedback’ school this year. contactus@educationresearch.com.au

Integrated school coordination processes

Furthermore, the curriculum data will be linked to individual student profiles – so information on any student can be accumulated on any aspect of school life, and maintained – with single entries… another huge time saving.

School Strategic Planning can also be linked, so that test results can be converted to ‘School Priorities’, and translated to ‘Scope and Sequence’ and to ‘Units of Work’, and ‘Assessment Tasks’ and ‘Rubrics’.  This information is then transferred to School Strategic Planning proforma, including action plans and school budgets.  If you would like to be a ‘feedback’ school this year: contactus@educationresearch.com.au

WA Professional learning workshops for beginning teachers
ERS is providing a workshop for Returning and Beginning WA Teachers at ECU Joondalup on Friday 30 November. Additional workshops will be arranged the week 10 – 14 December.
