Curriculum Organiser's A3 documents may not fit into an A4 printout for the following reasons:

 

1) In Microsoft Word, when printing an A3 document to A4 paper, you must set Scale to paper size to 'A4'. This must be done each time you print an A3 document.

 

To do this, select File / Print on the menubar, and in the bottom right-hand corner of the window you find the Scale to paper size drop-down box. Click the arrow button and select 'A4'.

 

Note: If you simply click the Print toolbar button, your A3 document will not be scaled to A4.

 

2) If you are using Microsoft Word 2000, a problem will occur if you do NOT have Service Pack 3 for Micrososft Office 2000 installed. To check if you have service pack 3 installed, open Word and on the menubar select Help / About Microsoft Word. On the top line after where it says 'Microsoft Word 2000 ... ' it will contain the version numbers and any service pack in parenthesis. If 'SP-3' is not included in parenthesis, you do not have service pack 3.

 

Sometimes the simplest solution is to upgrade your version of Microsoft Office to a later version, as the problem is resolved in later versions.

 

Alternatively, you may install Microsoft Office 2000 Service Pack 3. You may download this from Microsoft's website, or if you are unable to do this, contact us for a free service pack CD.
